Olive Grove Christian School is not a homeschool education provider. This home-based instruction program is offered as a temporary solution for families who do not have access to a local Christian school or who face unique circumstances that make traditional in-person attendance difficult. Participation is approved on a year-to-year basis and is not intended as a permanent alternative to classroom enrollment.
Students participating in this program are fully enrolled in the Olive Grove Christian School parochial system and must comply with all Olive Grove academic and behavioral standards, including required instructional hours, curriculum guidelines, and attendance expectations.
Olive Grove serves as the educational supervisor for each enrolled student. An assigned Olive Grove teacher will oversee academic progress, record grades and scores, and conduct regular check-ins with both students and parents to ensure accountability and academic consistency.
Parents serve as day-to-day instructors, providing a structured home learning environment under the direction of the assigned teacher. Olive Grove Christian School provides curriculum oversight, attendance tracking, and reporting to the appropriate authorities as required by the state of Pennsylvania.
This temporary program allows families to maintain a Christ-centered education during times of transition or special need, while preserving full connection and accountability within the Olive Grove school system.
Participation in the OGCS home-based instruction model requires an application completed by the parent or guardian. Applications are reviewed by the school administrator, and approval is granted on a case-by-case, annual basis.
